The MFRMLS Board of Directors shall give consideration to all written complaints having to do with violations of MFRMLS Rules and Regulations.

If the alleged offense is a violation of MFRMLS Rules and Regulations and does not involve a charge of an alleged violation of one or more provisions of Article 15 of the MFRMLS Rules and Regulations or request for arbitration, it may be administratively considered and determined by the MFRMLS Board of Directors. If a violation is determined, MFRMLS Board of Directors may direct the imposition of sanction, provided the recipient of such sanction may request a hearing before the Professional Standards Committee of their primary Board within twenty days following receipt of the MFRMLS Board of Director’s decision. Alleged violations of Section 15 of the rules and regulations shall be referred to the Grievance Committee of the Board/Association of REALTORS® in which the Participant either holds a REALTOR® membership or through which the Participant has obtained MLS access for processing in accordance with the professional standards procedure of the board/association.

The imposition of a moderate fine are sufficient to constitute a deterrent to violation of the MFRMLS Rules and Regulations. Suspension or termination is a sanction to be used in cases of extreme violations or repeated violations of the MFRMLS Rules and Regulations.

All other complaints of unethical conduct shall be referred by the MFRMLS Board of Directors to the local Grievance Committee for appropriate action in accordance with the Code of Ethics and Arbitration Manual of the National Association of REALTORS®.
