Expiration, Extension, and Renewal of Listings

(Article 4.26)

Any listing filed with MFRMLS automatically expires on the date specified in the agreement unless renewed in writing by the seller and the listing broker and a notice of renewal or extension is filed with MFRMLS no later than the expiration date of the listing. If the notice of renewal or extension is dated after the expiration date of the original listing, then a new listing must be secured for the listing to be filed with MFRMLS. Any extension or renewal of a listing must be signed by the parties to the original listing contract. Listings that expire can be changed from expired status to active status up to fourteen days after the original expiration date provided the signed renewal or extension has been received and was dated prior to the original expiration date.
